Tips to Sew with Sheer Fabrics
Sewing with slippery sheer fabrics can be tricky. Cutting the fabric and sewing can be a challenge. Here are some tips to make your job easier.
-
- To cut, use paper underneath your fabric. Place your pattern pieces on top and cut your fabric AND the paper. Cutting on the bias grain also helps.
- Use Thin Machine Needles-Size 8
- Sew over your paper and then rip it off. Sewable Swedish Tracing Paper is a good option for this work.
Have fun sewing this kimono dress!
