You can learn how to sew a cute Teeny Tiny zipper pouch with the video tutorial. It is very handy to attach a key ring or clip to hang it on your backpack or gym bag. It is very small, the finished size is about 3.5 long, 1.25 inches tall and 2.25 inches wide. You can carry a lip balm, coins, money, or small items.
My daughter saw the picture that I posted on my Instagram, and said I NEED THIS… she wants 20 of them to fill with candies and give to her friends for Halloween… lol. I made Halloween Pyramids last year and they were very popular at school. She wants to repeat it this year but with the Teeny Tiny Zipper Coin Purse.
I used Christmas fabric that I bought at my local Joann Fabrics Store. They have a nice selection of holiday fabrics. They would also look great in any of their character fabrics – Disney princess, Harry Potter, Wonder woman, etc.
You’ll Need:
Exterior Fabric (you can make 4 of these out of a fat quarter)
Lining Fabric
Key Ring or swivel hooks (I made my tabs thinner to fit a 1/2″ D-Ring)
6″ Zipper (I used the Rustic Holiday Zipper Kit)
The Rustic Holiday Kit include zipper tape in three different colors that you can cut to size. The zipper tape is very convenient for this small project. A little goes a long way and there are a great variety of colors and pulls style. For my pouches I used the short heart, regular pull, and flower pull.
The pattern is very easy to scale, you can make it larger to use as pencil case or makeup bag. I hope your find this free pattern useful.
