In this round-up I’m sharing 21 free t-shirt sewing patterns. There are so many great options to sew any style of shirt that you want and the best part is that they are FREE. I added a couple of these to my sew list.
Ruffle T-Shirt is one of many patterns that you can download from Love Sewing Magazine. To do download Love Sewing patterns, you just need to have an account with them. The instructions are not includes (those come with the magazine). This pattern has a design with bias binding on the front, neck and sleeves.
This shirt has raglan sleeves with a cute ruffle. It comes in UK sizes 10-18. It features finishes cuff sleeves and waist band. It is a longer shirt that ends on the hips. I think it can be a great sweater.

Japanese Style Top by Love Sewing Magazine is a Great British Sewing Bee pattern. This pattern comes with instructions and has an asymmetrical shape. I doesn’t have a neck band. Comes in UK sizes 8-20.
GBSB Japanese Style Top by Love Sewing Magazine
Paula Blouse by Sew Magazine is the cover pattern from the Japanese book She Wears the Pants by Yuko Takada. This shirt has a lapped shoulders with buttons with 3/4 sleeves and A line shape.
It comes in sizes XS-L.
The Cross Hem Top by Winter Wear Designs comes in a large range of sizes 00-24. You’ll have to join their facebook group to get this pattern for free. It is semi-fitted. It has two different necklines: scoop neck or V neck and three different sleeve length:short, 3/4, or long. Love the cross hem. You can combine different contrasting fabrics for this one.

Paige Piko Top, Tunic and Dress by Made for Mairmaids includes 3 versions: top, tunic, or dress. It has different sleeves: flounce, short, half, or long sleeves and a neck band. They identify their sizes in colors and this one is available for bust sizes 38-51. Lots of different options with this pattern. You’ll have to sign up to their email to get this pattern for free.
Paige Piko Top, Tunic and Dress by Made for Mairmaids
The Bazovyi Top is from a Russian website, but you can use google translate to read in English. It comes in Russian sizes 36-60. It features rounded hem that can be gathered. You’ll have to sign up to their email to get the pattern for free.
I’m a fan of Itch to Stich Patterns, they are well drafted and their woven patterns comes with cup sizes. I’ve sewn many of them. One of their free patterns, the Uvita Top is very versatile: has a relaxed fit, features a boat neck, dropped sleeves which are easier to set. It comes with two sleeves options: long sleeve and 3/4 sleeve options. It includes a large size range from 00-20. In addition Itch to Stitch have an add option that you can purchase for $5. The add on includes a hood, kangaroo pockets, bottom band, flare sleeve and a few other options.
I’ve sewn two tops using this pattern and always wear them in the house, they’ve been handy during the pandemic.
The Stellan Tee by French Navy with a crew neck comes in sizes XXS to XXL. It has a classic slightly boxed fit and short sleeves (longer than standard shirts).
The Sparrow Tee by Common Stitch comes in Australian sizes 6-12 (around 2-8 US Size). It has relaxed sleeves and rounded neckline.
The Simple Boat Neck Top by Sew So Easy comes in a large range of sizes S to XXXL. With only two pattern pieces and featuring bat wing sleeves, its construction cannot be easier. The neckline is just folded in.

The ABB (Anything but Basic Tee) Tee Pattern by Do it Yourself Better Club comes in sizes 00 to 36. It includes different necklines: high crew, low crew, scoop neck and also different sleeves length: short sleeves, elbow sleeves, 3/4 sleeves, and long sleeves. They have tutorial videos on their website in how to sew this shirt and also a men’s version.

The Basic Instinct Tee by Secondo Piano is a classic shirt and comes in sizes XS-XL. It also features a crew neck.

The 110 T-shirt by Grasser.ru a Russian website. They have very cool designs! To read in English use Google translate. It is a fitted t-shirt with long setting sleeves. They also have a men’s free version.
The Breezy T by It’s Always Autumn only comes in size L. In her blog, Autumn makes different variations using this shirt as the base.

The Sage Tee by Elbe Textiles is a men’s shirt that comes in sizes XS-XX. This one is a basic semi-fitted shirt with crew neck and short sleeves.
Mandy Boat Tee by Tessuti Sewing Patterns comes in sizes XXS to XXL. Boxy top with dropped sleeves and boat neck.

The Plantain Top by Deer and Doe comes in European sizes 34-52. It is fitted at the shoulders and semi-fitted on the waist. It comes with different lenghts: short, 3/4, and long sleeves.
The Wanderlust T by Fancy Tiger Crafts retails for $14 but you can get it for free via Creativebug. It is a boxy A-line top with wide neck and cropped sleeves.

The Adventure Tank Top is an all-summer tank that is super versatile and comes in two versions: a racer-back and a muscle tank. It is also from Fancy Tiger Crafts and you can get it for free via Creativebug. The pdf patterns come in 6 sizes (from 32” – 46” bust).
The One hour Top is another great pattern that you can download for free via Creativebug. With dalman sleeves it is very simple to sew. Sizes range from 32″ – 45″ bust.
